The text installation at Colyton Neighbourhood Centre. We took the existing park names and re-ordered the letters to make poetic alternatives. This one came from Edward (Ted) Little Reserve.

For the representing Colyton project we went out into the field and captured sounds from our neighbourhood. We used these sounds in creative ways to make stories about journeys to the park and fantastical happenings.
During this worksop we made paper lanterns, messily dipping tissue paper into buckets of glue and then delicately wrapped them around bamboo frames. We then decorated the lanterns with colourful paper. At the Colyton Picnic event there was a beautiful lantern procession led around the Colyton neighbourhood centre and shops.
Throughout June a group of women, living Colyton, participated in a series of creative workshops.
During this workshop we painted prayer flags, exploring pattern making, abstract portraiture and collaborative art.
The Flags were exhibited at the Colyton Picnic and Exhibition on the 14th of July.

Come together to design and make a collaborative textile sculpture!
In this workshop we will weave and transform ordinary crates into colourful, decorative and playful objects.
The felt workshop is an opportunity for participants to skill-up in an ancient textile technique with a contemporary twist and real applications in art and fashion.
Creative sessions kick off at Colyton Neighbourhood Centre every Wednesday, 4 – 7 pm
