This photo taken from the 770 Bus shows the site of the old Butchers Shop on the corner of the Great Western Highway and Queeen Street in St Marys. The original Butcher shop was owned by W. Williams and later by Frank Beecroft.
“My word, we used to go down there to get our weekly meat. Beecroft owned land and slaughtered his own produce. He owned land near St Marys League Club.” George Ray, June 2010.
